About FAU
FAU stands for Parent's Working Committee. All parents who have children in the school are members of the school's parents council.
The parent's council elects a working committee (FAU) which is the parent's voice towards the school.
The parent's council work committee (FAU) must contribute to a safe and good school for everyone.

Dear parents at Slettebakken school.
Welcome to FAU's own website. We will use these pages to talk about what we do at FAU, which activities we will organize for the children and how you can contribute. Because remember, FAU exists for all the parents at the school.
Our mission
The parent's council working committee is the parent's mouthpiece in collaboration with the school and must contribute to a safe and good learning environment for everyone.
The aim of FAU is to give parents real participation in the school's activities and development. That their views are heard and taken into account, as required by the Education Act. It is not about giving one or the other party the right in individual cases, but ensuring that the parents voice is also represented.
The headmaster must facilitate good cooperation and dialogue between the school and FAU. The representatives, for their part, are responsible for following up, maintaining and further developing the collaboration.
